Hundreds of Floyd County children will find joy this Christmas thanks to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office “Sheriff Santa Program."
Last Saturday – families stopped by the Floyd County Jail and picked up items that ranged from small toys to bicycles for children aged newborn to their teens.
According to Sheriff Dave Roberson, “When I took over as Sheriff this was one of the programs, I knew I wanted to continue. This was our 26th year for the event and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger.”
The program this year served over 300 families and 600 children, which was up from 500 in 2022.
